The American society thinks we are involved in a war on terror. That we are, but this war is not one sided. We stole this land from the Native Americans that originally owned it. We gave them smallpox blankets to stay warm. We tortured and terrorized African Americans because of the pigment of their skin, like that even don’t even make sense. A terrorist may find it hard to even start fire himself here because he can’t afford the gasoline. The economy is slowing down. The rich get greedy and forget about the poor. Now we are at war in Iraq where more human lives have been lost than the original 9/11 attacks in the first place.
What inspired me to write this little paragraph is one of my favorite musicians. Lupe Fiasco he is a young African American who challenges his vocabulary and uses very powerful metaphors about the truth in life and what happens in or world today. If you listen to the song deeply it may open up your eyes to things you may not of seen.
