What is Terrorism

Terrorism- is when someone comes and does psychical harm upon you or a country. It can be from something small like sending hate mail to someone’s home. Or something big like invading a country for no apparent reason, or trying to destroy a countries land mark just because of hate.
That’s my definition of terrorism. Terrorism can also mean different things. There is no one definition for the word. After I read a few of the definitions this is what I concluded from reading about what is terrorism. Terrorism doesn’t have to be such a dangerous thing and fearful word but other countries don’t like or actions because we choose not to mind or own business which is a big problem with America. We try to fix problems everywhere but not within or own country. The more we help these other countries the more enemies we get. If we keep acting the way that we are sooner or later another country will team up with others that hate us and try to attack us. Living in America would be so much better and easier if we did two things, mind or own business and try to fix or own problems.

War in Iraq

My personal opinion on the war in Iraq is that it is stupid and we have no cause being over there. When America decided to go into Iraq that was one of the days that official made or country become a terrorist. We entered into Iraq thinking that they had something to do with the attacks on 9/11 we were all wrong. George Bush tricked us into believing that Iraq had something to do with the attacks on 9/11. Whatever he told us we all believed it and went along with because we were filled up with anger towards anyone who can perform such an act on us and get away with it. When we finally came to or senses and realized what was going on the president said that where not in Iraq because of the acts that happened on 9/11. Why are we there then? I personally believe we are there for Iraq natural resource oil. Some questions I ask myself are why did we let this happen? How can we stop this? Can or next president help us get out of this hole George Bush has put us into. I beg of all Americans to go out and vote and be more careful about who u let into office

Who is al Queda?

Al Queda is a terrorist organization that was establish by Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan in the 1980’s. This terrorist group has nothing but hatred towards America. They have been suspected of three bombings that targeted U.S. troops in Aden, Yemen, in December 1992. Also they claim to have shot down U.S. helicopters and killed U.S. servicemen in Somalia in 1993. Plus the bombings in August 1998 of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that killed at least 301 persons and injured more than 5,000 others. Their also suspected of having involvement in the October 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Aden, Yemen. Last but not least the attacks on New York, in September 2001. This group have been suspect of doing many things within the past 10years from 1992-2002.
Their goal is to create a pan Islamic Caliphate that will be worldwide by working with Islamic extremist. They also want to kick out all westerns and non Muslim out of their countries. I think that a group like this should be stopped and we should do whatever we can in our power to take them out. There practices aren’t fair and not equal for everyone.

Nuclear Terrorism

Nuclear war heads are a common thing amongst or society today. Some countries say they have them for a reason. In the eyes of innocent people we all see them to be a major hazard to or economy, which can also result in the extinction in the human race. Why would humans create something that can do so much harm to or society? America is one of the main countries next to North Korea that holds nuclear war heads. Why do we hold them? America is trapped in the spot light and glamors of being the most dominate country.

American doesn't realize but if you take the time out and analyze or situations 99% of the times we are the bad guys. I think we are the terrorist and we drive other countries to hate us and do the things they do to us. We hold the nuclear bombs and maybe it may be a great lost in power if we threw them away. If we make this sacrifice maybe not right away but sooner or later it can end up in having world peace.

American Terrorist

The American society thinks we are involved in a war on terror. That we are, but this war is not one sided. We stole this land from the Native Americans that originally owned it. We gave them smallpox blankets to stay warm. We tortured and terrorized African Americans because of the pigment of their skin, like that even don’t even make sense. A terrorist may find it hard to even start fire himself here because he can’t afford the gasoline. The economy is slowing down. The rich get greedy and forget about the poor. Now we are at war in Iraq where more human lives have been lost than the original 9/11 attacks in the first place.

What inspired me to write this little paragraph is one of my favorite musicians. Lupe Fiasco he is a young African American who challenges his vocabulary and uses very powerful metaphors about the truth in life and what happens in or world today. If you listen to the song deeply it may open up your eyes to things you may not of seen.

Homeland Security

Homeland security advisory security system is a very good way to try and stop terrorism. Homeland security came up with a idea to let people in each state know if their state is in danger of being under attack. This plan is great and convenient it helps others and put a little bit more safety into our hearts and less worrying. The chart goes up and down they higher u are the greater the risk of a attack and the lower you are the less chance of having a attack.

The chart is made up out of 5 colors. Red means that there is a sever risk of having a terrorist attack on your state. Orange means that there is a high risk of having a terrorist attack on your state but not as great as red. Yellow means that there is a significant risk of terrorist attacks to happen on your state. Blue mean that there is a general risk of having an attack on your state. Green which is the last color means that there is a low risk of a terrorist attack happening on your state. This chart is really great and those 5 colors hold a lot of meaning behind them. They let the American society know what’s going on.

The price of war

Is world peace or war more important? Many people fail to realize how much money that it is costing to fight this war in Iraq. How can killing other help make peace it only makes situations worst. Also why are we fighting a war in Iraq when there terrorist are in Afghanistan. These are things we need to sit down and think about. Calculations were made that the war that we are having now in Iraq cost about $2 trillion dollars. That’s a lot of money.
What amazed me is the things that can be don’t with money. Meanwhile where using the money foolishly. If we was to take some of that money and teach everyone in the world how to read and write, eliminate poverty around the world, immunize every child and put more money towards finding a cure for aids. We could real have a perfect world to live in. All of that rounds up to about $156.3 billion dollars. That’s a lot of money but nothing near close to the amount of money we spent on this war that we don’t know why we are having. People please be more careful about who we vote into the white house. We can try to make a change for the better in Nov 2008.

How to prevent future attacks of terrorism.

Many of times America gets into war because of situations that don’t concern them. If we keep continuing this pattern of fight battles for other countries we will become the world most hated country. Which we already have the title for. The following is steps that the government can take to help put a stop to terrorism. These four steps are easy to follow and basic things we should already know
First we have to learn how mind or own business and not interfere with other countries dispute. Second we can’t give money to other countries so they can fight a war. Third we have to secure or selves in case of an attack. Forth we need to “target the aggressor and not the innocent”. Is clear to see that all of the following rules that I have just listed America have already broken all of them. We need to change the way the government thinks and try to stop them from doing as they wish. If we do let them continue that’s going to be more money for us tax payers to pay. If the following four rules are followed we would eventually gain or status back and not be the world’s most hated country.

Terrorism in black communities in NY

Terrorism isn’t just a major factor all over the world. It plays a major role right here within or communities in New York City. Not because of the events that token place on September 11th but from the stereotypes that are brought up against young African American males. I being an African American male can tell u personally we are targeted by the NYPD and various stores.
We are targeted by the police department because of other criminals. One person can’t represent a whole race. That’s unfair to us and it’s also racist. The NYPD have murdered two innocent men within less than 8 years apart with releasing over 40 shots at the suspects. Both of the suspect where unharmed just going about their business. Now that doesn’t sound fair, when have u heard of incidents like these happening to white Americans? Rarely or never. That’s only two incidents like this for New York. Now personally being black and going into certain stores you feel like someone is always looking at you. They say African Americans shop lift the most out of any other race groups. It quite obvious if u target one group instead of all the stats is going to be higher for us. Before America try to fix problems elsewhere the need to start in their community. Could we have stopped 9/11?

We all know of Osama Bin Laden and what he had done to the American society. He was the man responsible for 9/11. Could we have stopped this mad man?. The government had reason to believe that Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaida was responsible for the attack on the world trade center in 1993 where six people died. In 1998 he also was responsible for the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Africa killing 224 people. Also in 1998 Osama Bin Laden declared a holy war on the United States. If one man holds such great danger and towards America you would think we would capture him dead or alive when we get the chance.
In the fall of 2000 the Clinton Administration had the perfect opportunity to kill Osama Bin Laden or bring him in. They sent spy planes to fly over the Al-Qaida know training grounds. In the footage seen from the source you can see them performing military drills and target practicing. Later that fall they caught more footage of Osama Bin Laden which shows the Clinton Administration had more than one opportunity to kill or capture Osama. Why is it that or American government didn’t act on the situation before it became a major one? They say think twice before your actions but we would never knew that we would had to tell the government that. If the Clinton Administration had toke charger of what they knew and seen YES!!! We could of stop 9/11 dead in its tracks.

When did terrorism began?

Terrorism has been going on for many years. It goes way back in time from when Lincoln was president. So if you believed that terrorism started on Sept 11th, 2001 sorry but you’re wrong. Terrorism was only fully noticed by all Americans after Sept 11th. It’s a shame to see that our country have to go through something like that to realize what else is going on in this world of ours.
It all started off in Israel when Germany gave them the holy land. The Philistines were outraged and mad that Germany gave up the land to Israel. The Philistines felt that the land belong to them and they would do whatever they have to do to get the land. The Philistines has always been losing but they won’t give up because they feel that the land rightfully belongs to them. The war between the two groups has been going on for decades and many more to come. The Philistines has been losing so much that they toke a new approach and change their names to the Palestine’s. This makes them feel that they have a better chance at winning. The new name give the Palestine’s the impression that they are new to the war which gives them a new slate and which mean they didn’t lose as yet. If the Palestine’s do ever win America has a big problem to face.

How Terrorism has changed our society.

America is changing for the worst after September 11, 2001. Many of us are more judgmental towards people from the Middle East. Why? We judge all for the actions of one man Osama Bin Laden. One man’s hate for America has changed or way of thinking. Can we ever move on with our lives or will we keep on living or lives judging other religion groups. I feel one man actions don’t speak for all.
Life is too short to be wasted having hatred towards others. We need to focus on one person and make him and his followers pay for their actions. Is the U.S. government doing all they can do to find him. The government can find just about anyone that they need to find if they feel they pose a threat to society. So why is it that it’s taking this long to find this one man?
